Entertain with Magic
Pooh Bear’s got a rumbly in his tummy so we’ve whipped up a batch of Winnie the Pooh cakesicles made with creamy vanilla spice cake filling and a sweet, crunchy candy coating.
These treats were served on our Fantasyland Party but would also be adorable for a Winnie the Pooh themed party.

Instructions:
Make cakesicle shell – Melt candy melts as directed on the package. Spoon candy melts into the reservoir of a cakesicle mold and gently spread up the sides of the mold. Repeat the process with remaining candy melts. Set aside and allow to harden completely.
Make cakesicle filling – In a medium bowl, crumble cupcakes. Add frosting and mix thoroughly. The mixture should be moist and should easily clump together. Once cakesicle shells have hardened. Add the filling to each cakesicle. Press down completely and smooth the top leaving a ¼” space to add more candy melt. Carefully insert popsicle sticks.
Finish cakesickles – If you have leftover candy melts, re-melt them. Otherwise, melt a few more candy melts. Spoon over top of cakesickle filling. Gently tap mold to release air bubbles. Set aside and allow to harden.
Decorate – Once cakesicles are completely hardened, gently pop out of molds. Roll out red fondant to 1/4″ thickness. Using a ruler and pizza cutter, cut strips 1″ x 8″. Wrap fondant strips around the bottom half of each cakesicle. Use a small bit of water to fuse the seams of the fondant on the backside of the cakesicle.
Next roll out yellow fondant to 1/4″ thickness. Use a 2″ flower cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Use a small knife to trim petals off. Discard flower center. Gently roll edges of petals inward to create Pooh’s ears. Using a bit of melted yellow candy melt and a toothpick, adhere the ears to the top of the cakesicle.
Finally, use a black gel icing pen to draw on Pooh’s features.
