It’s Mario time! This Super Mario party features a bright color scheme and characters & icons from the beloved video game and movie. Get our curated menu, the recipes, tablescape & decor inspiration, and shopping links to create this adorable party or movie night for your friends and family.

We created a simple tablescape that reflects the colors and details of Mario’s world. A sky blue tablecloth is topped with a simple DIY felt cloud table runner.
A rustic wooden tray (similar one here) is filled with a bed of floral foam, fresh moss, and moss stones and is topped with adorable mushroom paper lanterns.
Simple DIY topiaries are created using a red tin pail filled with craft foam and moss that is topped with a boxwood ball.
The place settings are created using a simple and affordable items. Cloud placemat were made using a sheet of 12 x 18 white paper and Mario cloud template.
We topped 10″ yellow paper plates with cute Toad dessert plates. Red napkins were folded in half and wrapped in cute Mario overalls inspired napkin wrappers and stuffed with yellow cutlery.
We paid tribute to Luigi with simple drink bottle wrappers. The repurposed bottles are filled with fresh lemonade and a blue and white striped paper straw
We picked up some cute DIY question boxes and filled them with small treats we found on Amazon: gold coin chocolate candy, Mario pop-up figures, Mario temporary tattoos, and stick-on mustaches (not pictured).
We used a simple white brick backdrop behind our dessert table and decorated with round and mushroom paper lanterns. The mushroom lanterns were a favorite and were a great find on Amazon. We decorated the backdrop with a DIY garland featuring favorite Mario icons. The garland is available as part of our Super Mario party printable package.

These cute Mario cupcakes were made using a red velvet box cake mix and vanilla buttercream tinted light blue using Wilton Sky Blue food dye gel. They were embellished with two yellow M & Ms and a Mario pick. Get our tutorial here.
These yummy dirt desserts get an extra special touch! We served them out of inexpensive terra cotta pots from Dollar Tree and added a piranha plant pick from our printable package. To make the dirt desserts we used this recipe. You could even add a few worm for fun!
I love the flowers from Super Mario! This healthy and simple fruit plate was made using cubed pineapple and halved strawberries. The center of the flower is a small bowl filled with Marzetti Cream Cheese Dip. We added two chocolate chip eyes.
These sweet Princess Peach cupcakes were made using a strawberry box cake mix and strawberry frosting. They were embellished with a crown pick.
We created mushroom and star cookies for our dessert table using this recipe. To save time, you could also use refrigerated sugar cookie dough. We purchased our star and mushroom cookie cutters through Amazon.
I love these white and red polka dot treat boxes from Dollar Tree. They’re just the right size for a snack and are made of a nice thick cardstock. We added a mustache to add a fun touch of character.
Bowzer needed a spot on our dessert table! We filled a yellow tin pail with cheese balls and added a DIY Bowzer pick. They were so easy, but the kids loved them and had fun munching on them during the movie.
