Stitch Cupcakes

These Stitch cupcakes are as delicious as they are adorable! The marbled cupcakes are topped with blue frosting & sprinkles, and decorated with Stitch’s ears. These cupcakes would be perfect for a Stitch party or movie night. View our Lilo & Stitch Luau here.

Makes 12 cupcakes

Ingredients:

1 Betty Crocker vanilla cake mix
1 cup water
½ cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
Purple, royal blue, and sky blue gel food coloring
Blue sprinkles
2 containers of vanilla frosting

Instructions:

Make batter – Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Divide the batter into two bowls. Add a small amount of purple food coloring to the first bowl and royal blue food coloring to the second bowl. Set aside.

2. Bake – Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a cupcake pan with cupcake papers. Spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of purple batter into each cupcake paper. Next add 1 1/2 tablespoons of blue. Swirl gently with a toothpick. Bake cupcakes for 22-24 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Transfer to a wire baking rack and allow to cool completely.

3. Decorate – Add sky blue food coloring to the vanilla frosting. Mix thoroughly. Add frosting to a piping bag fitted with a round tip and top cupcakes. Sprinkle with blue candy sprinkles. Make Stitch ears using the free printable and add to cupcakes.
