Ingredients
- 1 vanilla cupcake
- 1-2 tablespoons vanilla frosting
- White candy melts
- White sanding sugar
Equipment
Instructions
- Make Cake Balls – In a medium sized bowl, crumble the cupcake. Add the frosting and mix thoroughly. Roll ½” balls and place on a cookie sheet prepared with waxed paper. Place in the freezer until the cake bites are firm.
Dip Cake Balls – In a small bowl, melt the white candy melts. Place sanding sugar in a small bowl. Using a small fork, dip each ball into the candy melts coating entirely. Allow excess candy coating to drip off each ball. While still wet, roll in sanding sugar to coat. Place on the prepared cookie sheet and allow to dry completely.
Serve Cake Balls – Add a small bit of candy coating to the bowl of a mini dessert spoon and place the cake bite on top. Allow to harden and serve on mini dessert plates.
