Create a festive 4th of July table for your summer gathering. This table features farmhouse styling, playful gingham, star & stripe accents, and a casual whimsy that will make your guests feel at home. Get our tips and shopping links below to create this festive patriotic stars & stripes tablescape.
Summer is perfect for easy outdoor entertaining. This casual tablescape is simple and inviting with charming touches like playful gingham napkins and a crisp striped tablecloth in blue and white. The linens are both from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia at Target. Find a similar tablecloth here.
We created a simple arrangement of hydrangeas in our vintage blue Ball jars and placed them in a hand made tray crafted from reclaimed wainscoting. Find a similarly sized tray here. We added small U.S. flags to the florals. Our favorite Uncle Sam nutcracker presided over the table. He belonged to my mom and is such an unique and fun collectible. This particular model is no longer available, but shop for a similar one here.
We participated in a patriotic table challenge with some fellow bloggers to create this table. All the dinnerware was purchased at Dollar Tree proving that you can absolutely create a party tablescape that is beautiful, festive, and affordable.
When we noticed the blue and white gingham chargers we knew they would serve as the foundation of our place settings. They are so cute! We topped them with Royal Norfolk navy and white stoneware dinner plates and a Royal Norfolk white ceramic salad plate. If your Dollar Tree doesn’t have these in stock, you can find similar dinner plates and salad plates on Amazon.
We added red plastic star bowls to round out the place settings. These added so much character! These are seasonal at Dollar Tree but you can find them on Amazon here. For our stemware we chose glass pint jar mugs and embellished them with a bit of red gingham ribbon.
Each place setting cost just over $6 for the charger, plates, bowl, and mug. These are definitely classic pieces that can be used on other tablescapes too. Now that’s affordable!
The 4th of July is such a wonderful time to gather with friends and family! Here are some of our favorite recipes that will appeal to guests of all ages and tastes.
