These delicious orange & cream Jello Desserts decorated with Orange Bird picks are not only adorable and tasty but are super easy. These yummy treats combine layers of cool refreshing orange Jello with creamy vanilla infused whipped cream and taste like a creamsicle. These yummy treats were served on our Orange Bird pool party.
Orange & Cream Jello Desserts
Makes six 2-ounce mini desserts
Ingredients:
Jello Layer:
- 1 box orange jello, 3 oz
- 1 ¼ tsp plain gelatin, 1/2 packet
- 1 cup boiling water
Whipped Cream Layer:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ confectioner’s sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Equipment:
- Stand Mixer fitted with a wire whisk attachment or a large mixing bowl and hand mixer
- Mini serving glasses
- Piping Bag
- Round tip for piping
Instructions:
1. Make Jello – In a mixing bowl, combine the orange jello and gelatin. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Divide the mixture evenly among your cups. Place the cups in the refrigerator to set.
2. Make whipped cream – In the meantime, add the whipping cream powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or mixing bowl. Beat the ingredients together, starting on low speed and increasing to high slowly as it begins to firm up. Beat until stiff peaks form. Transfer mixture to a piping bag and set aside.
3. Assemble desserts – Once the bottom layer of jello is set, add a layer of whipped cream. You will have leftover whipped cream for the next creamy layer. Add the next jello layer and refrigerate until firm. Then add another whipped cream layer. Repeat the process until your serving cups are full. If desired, top each cup with more whipped cream and a wedge of orange.
