There are so many great family-friendly Christmas movies, but one of our favorites is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas. Watching our favorite Disney characters in this classic Christmas film has become a family tradition.
This fun Christmas favorite includes three features: Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas, A Very Goofy Christmas, and Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi. The three short films feature Donald and the nephews, Goofy & Max, and Mickey & Minnie. As the movie comes to a close, the characters come together to sing a Christmas medley.

For our place settings, we used our favorite Christmas plates from Pottery Barn Kids. Each plate sat atop our favorite DIY Mickey placemats. These cute placemats are quick and simple to make and add so much character to a table. Get our tutorial and template here.
We added some simple white mugs. The cute Reflections Duet red flatware from Tableluxe is actually disposable. We love their products because they make entertaining easy without compromising quality and style.
We enjoyed red velvet Mickey waffles decked out with whipped cream and Christmas sprinkles. Turkey sausage links and fresh fruit served in a Minnie Mouse bowl made tasty sides. A Christmas brunch wouldn’t be complete without hot chocolate! We used our favorite hot chocolate from Madison Chocolate Company and created a hot chocolate add-in board. Who doesn’t love breakfast food, especially when it looks like Mickey?! The kids gave me a Mickey Waffle maker for Mother’s Day and it makes making and eating waffles so much fun! We used this recipe from Disney Eats for red velvet Mickey waffles. The pretty rose color is perfect for Christmas! We served our waffles with turkey sausage links and fresh fruit.
Wow your guests with fresh fruit served out of a Minnie shaped watermelon bowl! This bowl is super simple to make and only takes a few tools and about 15 minutes. Get our tutorial here. We filled our Minnie bowl with cantaloupe, pineapple and watermelon wedges and red grapes.
Mickey cookies are the perfect treat for a Christmas brunch! We used our favorite sugar cookie recipe and Mickey cookie cutter. The cookies are topped with royal icing and buttercream and candy embellishments. Get our Mickey Christmas cookie recipe here.
These Mickey Santa cupcakes were festive and delicious! Moist chocolate cake was filled with marshmallow cream. The cupcakes were topped with red buttercream and embellished with white trim, a white ball atop each hat, and some Mickey ears. We glued some tiny white buttons to each cupcake paper for a fun detail.
