These Mickey Burgers are quick and easy to make using frozen roll dough and a few ingredients from the pantry. We’ll show you how to whip up a batch in a few minutes for your next BBQ.
We served these for our Patriotic Mickey Farmhouse BBQ. We displayed all the fixings on a burger board for quick and easy entertaining.
Mickey burger Buns
Makes 12 Mickey buns
Ingredients:
- 1 – 48 oz. package of Rhodes frozen dinner rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
- Sesame seeds, optional
Instructions:
- Thaw frozen dough. Dust your work surface with flour. Remove dough from package. Combine all rolls into one large dough ball. Roll out to 1-inch thickness. Cut out Mickey shapes with a 4-inch Mickey cookie cutter. Place Mickey rolls on a parchment lined baking sheet and space 3-inches apart.
- Using a basting brush, baste each roll with egg and dust with sesame seeds if desired.
- Cover rolls with a sheet of saran wrap and place in a warm spot. Allow to rise until doubled. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove from oven and allow to cool on a baking rack. Before serving, slice the rolls. Serve with our oat-nut veggie burgers {below} or your favorite burger.
Oat-Nut Veggie Burgers
These veggie burgers are delicious, healthy, and very easy. They’re loved by both vegetarians and meat eaters.
Makes 6 veggie burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 medium white or yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- Canola oil for frying
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to the bowl of a food process. Pulse until the mixture is well combined and holds together well. Add a teaspoon of water if mixture is dry.
- Form patties and place on a wax paper lined tray. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. In the meantime, warm a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of canola oil. Fry burger patties until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
