Create a no-fuss Disney-inspired patriotic tablescape with adorable farmhouse details. To create this table we layered a picnic friendly polyester white tablecloth with a DIY blue gingham square topper. We sewed this table topper with fabric from Joann Fabrics and love it’s charming vintage look. Get a similar version here.
The place settings were nestled atop navy braided round placemats. These placemats are so versatile and we have them in several colors. We found adorable patriotic Mickey & Minnie paper plates at Dollar General and paired them with basic white dinner plates. Dollar General and Walmart both carry seasonal Disney partyware. It does tend to sell out, but check your local store for their current offerings. Our place settings were completed with disposable flatware and clear tumblers from Tableluxe.
We created a simple centerpiece with fresh hydrangeas in a vintage blue Ball jar. We added two patriotic fan picks from Michaels and created a simple Mickey star pick by tracing a silhouette onto scrapbooking paper with a cookie cutter. We glued two Mickey star silhouettes together with a bamboo skewer in between. We added a simple farmhouse style white wooden star from Michaels to complete the centerpiece.
We served a simple BBQ menu of hot dogs, chips, watermelon and bottled coca-cola. This tablescape and meal came together in just a few minutes. It’s perfect for a casual summer get together or impromptu Memorial Day or 4th of July BBQ.
