Our version of Creme de la Creme a la Edgar is a decadent concoction of warm milk flavored with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla sans sleeping pills. It’s similar to hot chocolate, perfectly smooth, rich, and irresistible. This recipe was featured on our Aristocats Brunch.
Creme de la Creme a la Edgar
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- dash of nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat milk, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg over medium-low heat until the milk begins to steam.
Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour milk into mugs. Serve with additional nutmeg sprinkled on top.
