Every Cinderella party needs a glass slipper and pumpkin carriage! We had fun creating these decor elements along with Cinderella silhouette art and a bluebird backdrop. The color palette was Cinderella blue with touches of white and gold.
We created a backdrop using Cinderella blue chiffon fabric accented by light blue ribbon bows. We added a gold “Happy New Year” banner held by silhouettes of Cinderella’s bluebird companions. We also created silhouette art using printable blue & white floral paper and Cinderella & Prince Charming and carriage silhouettes from Etsy.
Cinderella’s glass slipper was the centerpiece of our decor. We found these glass slippers on Amazon. They are small but were the perfect size for our glass cloche. We sewed a tiny pillow using blue fabric and gold bead trim to hold the slipper.
Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage was so fun to craft! We started with these inexpensive white pumpkins and spray painted two of them gold to serve as wheels. Then Anna used a gold paint pen to add a door and windows to the large pumpkin. We used a clear glass bowl as a base and added gold rope trim to complete the carriage. The specific instructions can be found in Entertaining with Disney by Amy Croushorn, one of our favorite books.
The table was dressed in a light blue tablecloth with white roses, crystal candlesticks, and gold star table scatter. In addition to the food, we added festive gold confetti poppers and fun noise makers for our countdown.

Inspired by Jaq & Gus, these little blackberry goat cheese crisps are delicious and very easy to make! We used pita crisps but a cheese flavored crisp would be delicious with the goat cheese, blueberries, and honey drizzle. Yum!
Cheese fondue is a favorite New Year’s tradition for good reason. It’s so true that everything is better with cheese! Get our creamy and delicous fondue recipe here.
For this party we served roasted baby potatoes, steamed broccoli & cauliflower, baguette chunks, and sliced apples as dippers, but this is an extremely adaptable dish and there are many great options.
Crostini is simple, yet so delicious! The sliced strawberries and drizzed honey give them a sweet and fresh flavor twist. They are easy to assemble and are a great appetizer for kids to make. Get our recipe here.
These glittery glass slipper cookies are created using our favorite sugar cookie recipe. These sweet cookies are a must for any Cinderella party!
