Summer is perfect for easy outdoor entertaining. This casual tablescape is simple and inviting with fun details like bandana napkins and a red tavern check tablecloth. We layered the small tavern check tablecloth over a basic white table cloth.
Wildflower centerpiece
We created a simple arrangement of silk wild flowers and poppies and placed them in a hand made tray crafted from reclaimed wainscoting. Find a similar one here.
To build this centerpiece we started with a bed of floral foam from Dollar Tree and fresh moss from the woods. We added a base of herb inspired greens. Finally, we added small white flowers and poppies to finish off the arrangement.
We added some small rustic wooden stars from Michaels and some mini red enamelware mugs with tea lights for this no fuss yet vibrant centerpiece.
Place Settings
This tablescape uses all affordable pieces, many of which may already be in your cupboards. If not, they are available on Amazon and Dollar Tree.
When started out with a galvanized metal charger plate from Amazon and topped it with an Amazon Basics white ceramic dinner plate. Each place setting hosted a red bandana tied with a knot.
We used red plastic star bowls from Dollar Tree for our side dishes. These are also available on Amazon year round if your Dollar Tree doesn’t have them. These added so much character! For our stemware we chose glass pint jar mugs..
