Alien Fruit Snacks

Ingredients:

• Granny Smith Apples
• Small Candy Eyes
• White Royal Icing
• Green Grapes
• Bamboo Skewers
• Strawberries

Instructions:

Apple Alien – Wash and thoroughly dry a Granny Smith apple. Cut into thirds. Discard the middle section with seeds. Use one outer section as the alien’s face. Use a knife to cut a narrow slit for a mouth. Use the top of a bamboo skewer to create a round opening in the center of the slit. With the remaining outer section, cut out two ears and an antenna. Use royal icing to add three candy eyes.

Grape Aliens – Wash and thoroughly dry green grapes. Slice a small bit off the bottom of each grape to create a flat surface. This will help the grape to lay flat and not roll about on your serving plate. Use white royal icing to adhere three small candy eyes to each grape. 

Fruit Rocket – Cut the tops off three strawberries. Set one strawberry aside. To the second strawberry, slice into rounds. To the third strawberry, slice two slabs the long way. Carefully slice the centers part way and assemble into an “X” shape. Lace the fruit pieces onto the bamboo skewer with the “X” shape at the bottom followed by alternating grapes and strawberry rounds. Top with a full strawberry.
