Entertain with Magic
Adventureland, here we come! Check out our Adventureland Dinner menu filled with the tropical flavors of the jungles of Adventureland. Get our full menu with recipes and decor ideas below.
Adventureland is one of the themed lands featured in Disney Parks around the world. It is based on remote jungles from Africa, South America, Asia, Oceania, and the Caribbean and is filled with lush vegetation and exotic details.
Adventureland includes beloved attractions such as The Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. It is also home to some favorite eateries including Aloha Isle (home of Dole Whip), Sunshine Tree Terrace and Jungle Cruise Skipper Canteen.
Our tablescape was inspired by the jungles of Adventureland. We dressed the table in a white linen tablecloth and topped it with silk jungle leaves. We added a bamboo vase holding yellow gladiolus and bamboo frame with an Adventureland sign.
We had fun adding fresh tropical fruit to the tablescape including a pineapple bowl, some papaya, and a hidden Mickey made from an orange and a clementine.
Terra cotta melamine plates and beige melamine bowls were centered over woven palm placemats. The place mats were a gift from my friend, Kathe, and added so much beautiful texture and color to the table.
We chose blue shell stitch napkins with white tassels to place over the plates. I loved the shade of blue of these napkins and the design reminded me of Aladdin. We added yellow gladiolus blooms and bamboo handled flatware to complete the place settings.
Our Adventureland menu was inspired by the tropical flavors of the jungles of Adventureland. We featured a buffet of small bites inspired by Adventureland attractions and eateries: Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean, Skipper Canteen, and Aloha Isle. To create these simple and delicious mocktails, we used Calypso Ocean Blue Lemonade and added seltzer and a splash of pineapple juice. We garnished the drinks with mini blue swords and blackberries. To make this into an adult drink, swap out the seltzer for some coconut rum.
This Enchanted Tiki Room fruit board is full of tropical fruits with a few hidden Mickeys sprinkled in. The beautiful and delicious spread of luscious fruits will take your taste buds on a tropical adventure! We used fruits on hand, but swap out fruits based on what is readily available at your local market. Get our easy tutorial to create this beautiful board for your next party.
Have you visited the Adventureland Egg Roll Cart? They serve both cheeseburger and buffalo chicken spring rolls. These novel treats can be easily made at home using basic ingredients or purchased in the freezer section of your local store. We were able to find these at our local Aldi. If you’d like to make the cheeseburger spring rolls from scratch, check out this recipe.
We offered a platter of miniature sized meats to satisfy both sea and land lovers. We served crispy breaded coconut shrimp and garlic Panko coated chicken bites with a delicious store bought sauce. Chicken sate, breaded fish, or crab cakes would be delicious options for an Adventureland party as well.
Are there any Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen fans out there? This Jungle Cruise themed restaurant serves a delicious appetizer called Falls Family Falafel. This delicious falafel platter is served with hummus. We created our own version of Mickey falafel served on a bed of hummus with some Mickey shaped dippers created from Naan and a Mickey cookie cutter. We used our favorite falafel mix and store bought hummus and naan which makes it quick and so easy!
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Dole Whip Sundaes are a Disney fan favorite for good reason. Tender mini pineapple upside down cakes are topped with cool and refreshing Dole Whip with Nilla Wafer Mickey ears added for a fun touch. These are made using a muffin pan to create individual sized portions with ease. Get our easy recipe to create these treats.
