Entertain with Magic
Bonjour, mes amis! Let’s whisk ourselves away to the charming streets of Paris with an Aristocats-themed brunch fit for the most sophisticated of felines and their purrfectly wonderful mamas!
This Aristocats brunch is perfect for Mother’s Day, a special occasion luncheon, or a shower. Learn how to create your own Aristocats brunch with our full menu, delicious & easy recipes, and decor tips!
Transport your guests to Madame Adelaide’s mansion with elegant touches of pink, gold, and mint green. Adorn the table with a delicate floral arrangement, beautiful china, and dainty lace napkins. Don’t forget to sprinkle a few Aristocats-themed accents, like Marie-inspired bows, for that extra touch of whimsy!
Dress the table in a shabby chic cabbage rose tablecloth. White cotton quilted placemats, pink scalloped dinner plates, dainty white embossed lace salad plates are used for the place settings. Pair the place settings with pink vintage glassware and gold cutlery. It’s no longer available, but Amazon offers similar pink glass goblets and tumblers. The white cotton napkins trimmed with lace are perfectly tied up with a pink bow to give a nod to Marie.
A centerpiece of cream peonies, dahlias, and cherry blossoms along with fern picks and peach rananculus is housed in a vintage milk glass pitcher. Gold candle holders with pink and white tapers and hobnail votives complete the centerpiece. All florals, candle sticks, and tapers can be purchased at Michaels.
Treat your guests to an indulgent spread inspired by the culinary delights of France. Serve up some delicious quiche and an array of French desserts, alongside an array of artisanal cheeses and fresh fruit adorned with a Marie bow. Don’t forget to raise a toast with some Creme de la Creme a la Edgar. Get our recipes below.
With so many tasty choices, a cheese board is the perfect way to begin a dinner. We opted to serve two French cheeses along with crackers, a salami rose, and fresh berries.
This vibrant berry & brie salad is a crowd favorite! It is loaded with fresh berries, cubes of brie, rich pecans, and a delicious maple-balsamic vinaigrette. In the fall, substitute apples or pears with gorgonzola and walnuts. You can get our recipe here.
This delicious quiche is flavorful yet simple. The spinach and artichoke hearts pair beautifully with rich goat cheese. You can easily adapt the quiche based on your own tastes. We like using this highly versatile quiche recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction.
French desserts are absolutely decadent! For this menu we featured three mini desserts inspired by the kittens: mini eclairs topped with pink buttercream, bite-size cream puffs filled with fresh whipped cream sliced strawberries, and berry tartlets created with a creamy vanilla custard and topped with juicy berries. Get the recipes below.
There is nothing like fresh pastry! These eclairs have a pink twist in honor of Marie. These delicious mini creations are filled with fresh cream and topped with pink buttercream, tiny white flowers, and iridescent sanding sugar. They are dainty and delightful just like Marie! Get our tutorial to make your own mini eclairs here.
Toulouse, the most playful of the three kittens, wants to meet tough alley cats and is known for puffing up and trying to act tough. What better dessert to honor his character than the cream puff! These mini cream puffs are filled with fresh whipped cream and juicy sliced strawberries. We like this recipe and tutorial from Sally’s Baking Addiction.
Berlioz is a pianist. He isn’t easily impressed and can be easily annoyed. He has dark gray fur, blue eyes, and a red bow so we created some fancy little tartlets with vanilla custard, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. We think he would approve! Get our super easy tartlet recipe here.
Edgar carries out his ill intentions of catnapping Duchess and the kittens by lacing Creme de la Creme a la Edgar with sleeping pills. Our version of Creme de la Creme a la Edgar is a decadent concoction of warm milk flavored with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla sans sleeping pills. It’s similar to hot chocolate, perfectly smooth, rich, and irresistible. Get the recipe here.
Voilà! With a touch of elegance and a sprinkle of whimsy, you’ve created an Aristocats brunch that’s truly purr-fect in every way. May your event be filled with love, laughter, and lots of Aristocats-inspired fun!
