Add a touch of the tropics to your tablescape! For our Peter Pan dinner we embellished a simple green glass votive candle with tropical leaves. Learn how to create these fun tropical votives using our tutorial below.
Leaf Votive Candle Holders
Materials
- Leaves (similar ones)
- Glass votive holder (similar one)
- Jute twine, if desired
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
1. If leaves are on a stem, cut them off at desired size. You will want to have a 1-inch overhang.
2. Glue leaves on using the hot glue gun. We liked the look of overlapping them a 1/2-inch. You may also want to arrange them at varying heights for interest.
3. Trim leaves along bottom 1-inch from the bottom of the candle holder. Turn under and use hot glue to adhere them to the bottom of the vase.
4. Tie some jute twine around the top if desired.
This little project is a fun, quick and affordable way to add some character to your tropical tablescape!
