We’ve been hosting a Nutcracker party each holiday season since our daughter started dancing as a preschooler. It’s one of our absolute favorite traditions!
This Nutcracker party is inspired by Land of the Sweets. Guests enjoyed Nutcracker inspired treats and a hot cocoa board as they painted wooden Nutcrackers and listened to music from the ballet.

the Tablescape & Decor
The decor for this party was inspired by pink candy stripes, peppermints, and all things sweet. The table was dressed in a pink table cloth and topped with a white, pink, and red striped runner.
Pink and white bottle brush trees and peppermint Nutcracker cupcakes on a white scalloped cake plate adorned the table. Red and pink ornaments were scattered across the tablescape.
The serving buffet hosted a collection of white and gold nutcrackers, peppermint trees, and apothecary jars filled with antique Christmas ornaments in pink and aqua.
Each guest’s place was set with a square red trimmed plate from Table Luxe and layered with a drum plate from My Mind’s Eye. We loved the plates! We paired the plates with peppermint napkins from Hobby Lobby and white mugs from Table Luxe. The place settings were all disposable which made clean up a breeze.

Nutcracker Craft
Each guest enjoyed painting their own wooden nutcracker with these kits from Michaels. Each set came with an assortment of paints and the end results were wonderful. These were perfect for a wide range of ages and were such fun for our guests.
