Entertain with Magic
Howdy partners! We’re fixin’ to serve up a feast of Frontierland inspired grub with our Frontierland Disney dinner. Get our menu and all the recipes!
We hosted our Frontierland themed Disney dinner outdoors to create a casual picnic-like setting. We carried the picnic feel throughout the tablescape by using a blue and white gingham tablecloth layered over an everyday white tablecloth. Our blue and white gingham tablecloth is from Crate and Barrel but is discontinued. You can find a similar one here.
Our place settings featured blue enamelware plates centered over a rustic wooden charger. The chargers were created by my dad using trees from our farm, but these similar rustic wooden chargers would work very well. We framed the plates with knotted red bandanas and added a farmhouse style pint jar mug.
Our centerpiece continued the rustic feel. We used a simple galvanized steel pail and filled it with wildflowers. For this arrangement we used small yellow and orange poppies and little daisies, but any wild flowers would look beautiful. We crafted a rustic Frontierland sign and nailed it to a rough wooden slab. An antique corked jar served as an easel.
Our menu was inspired by our favorite Frontierland attractions: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, and Splash Mountain. Get our full menu and recipes below.
All aboard for this deliciously sweet drink! This sweet mocktail is made up of caramel sauce, apple cider, ginger beer, and whipped cream. It reminds us of Frontierland and is served in a rustic farmhouse style pint jar mug. Guests of all ages will love it. We added a little extra Disney magic by adding Oreo Mickey ears and garnishing it with a stick of cinnamon. Get our recipe here.
Chicken and waffle sandwiches are the perfect combination of salty and sweet. This chicken and waffles sandwich board is filled with chicken, waffles, Buffalo sauce, maple syrup and pickles. Add some coleslaw and juicy watermelon and you’ll have a finger lickin’ feast fit for a crowd of Country Bears {or family and friends}. Get our recipe here.
