In Alice in Wonderland there is a magic mushroom that can make Alice change size. We had fun creating these adorable Mad Hatter Mushrooms from cherry tomatoes and string cheese. They only take 3 ingredients and a few minutes to create. This recipe was featured on our Alice in Wonderland Garden Party.
Mad Hatter Mushrooms
Makes 12 Tomatoes
Ingredients:
- 12 cherry tomatoes, washed an dried
- 4 string cheese sticks
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened to room temperature
Instructions:
1. Assemble Mushrooms – Slice bottom 1/3 off of tomatoes and scoop out remaining seeds. Cut string cheese sticks into thirds and place a tomato on top of each.
2. Decorate Mushrooms – Place softened cream cheese in a sandwich-size Ziploc bag. Snip the corner off of the bag. Carefully pipe small dots of cream cheese onto tomato tops.
